Installation Notes

Replace gas struts in pairs even if only one has failed — a tired strut paired with a fresh one creates uneven loading and shortens the new one's life. Mount with the shaft pointing downward when the panel is closed (this keeps the seal lubricated and extends service life). Support the panel during fitting and never compress a strut by force. Most installations take 10–20 minutes with basic tools.
