Based in Melbourne, Victoria, we design and build every strut right here in Australia — no imports, no shortcuts.
Our Story
What started in 1992 as a gas strut recharge operation has grown into one of Australia's most trusted gas strut manufacturers. Over three decades we've supplied car dealers, mechanical workshops, caravan manufacturers and everyday Australians who simply need their bonnet or tailgate to work properly again.
We were among the first manufacturers in Australia to develop specialised tailgate and bonnet strut kits for specific vehicle makes and models — and today our range covers over 330 vehicles including Ford, Holden, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and many more.
Built Different
Every Nitro Struts gas strut is manufactured using Australian-made pistons and chrome-hardened shafts, assembled at our Melbourne facility and tested to 50,000 operations and salt spray resistance before it leaves our workshop. Our warranty return rate is 0.002% — we'll let that speak for itself.
